  • Return Policy & Right of Withdrawal

We take great pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our leather handbags. The following policy is aligned with applicable EU and German consumer protection laws.

    Right of Withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without providing any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you, have taken possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement (e.g. via email) including your order number.

    Effects of Withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the original delivery costs (standard shipping only), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive the returned goods or proof of return.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise.

    Return of Goods
You must return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day you notify us of your withdrawal.

Items must be returned in their original condition. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

    Return Shipping Costs
You bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping service, as we cannot assume responsibility for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Exclusions from the Right of Withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

    • Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized items

    Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, including photographic evidence. We will ensure an appropriate resolution in accordance with your statutory rights.

  • Terms and Conditions

    1. Scope
These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online shop by consumers worldwide.

    2. Contracting Party and Conclusion of Contract
The sales contract is concluded with Tetens Atelier.

The presentation of products in the online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order. By placing an order, you make a binding offer to purchase the selected goods. The contract is concluded when we accept your order by dispatching the goods or sending an order confirmation.

    3. Prices and Payment
All prices are displayed in the respective local currency of the customer based on their location.

As a small business under applicable German law (§19 UStG), we do not charge value-added tax (VAT).

For international orders (particularly outside the European Union), additional customs duties, import taxes, or local sales taxes may apply. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in our prices.

Please note that due to currency conversion, the final amount charged may vary slightly depending on exchange rates and your payment provider.

We accept the payment methods displayed during the checkout process. Payment is due immediately upon order confirmation.

    4. Delivery and Shipping
We ship internationally to selected destinations.

Delivery times are indicated on the respective product pages and are estimates. International shipments may be subject to customs processing, which can cause delays beyond our control.

Any customs duties, import taxes, or additional charges imposed by the destination country must be borne by the customer.

    5. Retention of Title
The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

    6. Warranty (Statutory Rights)
The statutory warranty rights under applicable law apply.

Leather is a natural material. Variations in color, texture, and grain, as well as natural markings, are inherent characteristics and do not constitute defects. Over time, leather develops a natural patina, which is considered part of its quality and aesthetic.

    7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health.

In cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations. In such cases, liability is limited to foreseeable, typical damages.

    8. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers within the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal. Details can be found in our separate Return Policy & Right of Withdrawal.

    9. Personalized Products
Items made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalized are excluded from the right of withdrawal, unless defective.

    10. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

For consumers residing outside Germany, mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected where applicable.

    11. Online Dispute Resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR):
    https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

We are not obliged and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

    12. Final Provisions
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
